West One Studios - Your printer in the heart of London

Hardcover books have a stiff binding, we refer to these as case bound. Paperback books have less expensive, flexible covers which tend to be less durable.

Its also possible to produce a dust cover, more commonly seen on coffee table books. Another method of book binding is spiral-binding, loose sheets of collated paper ( or card ) are bound together by spirals made of metal or plastic.

Finally, depending on the number of pages booklets could be "stitched" with two wires on the spine, this is probably the least expensive binding solution and most commonly used.
