Die Cutting

Die Cut Sample

West One Studios - Your printer in the heart of London

Die cutting is a manufacturing process used to generate multiple copies of the same shape, most commonly seen in card document folders with a pocket in the back to hold A4, or maybe like the intricate aperture cut in the sleeve shown here.

Sharp specially shaped blades are bent into the desired shape and mounted onto plywood, the result is known as a die. The material being cut is fed automatically onto a flat surface and the die is pressed onto the material to cut it out. Dies are generally tailor made and expensive, however, it's possible we may have one that will fit your requirements.
